I was approached by a private client to assess their home’s ground floor and create concepts that would allow them to live better.
The converted bungalow in a suburb of Edinburgh was of good proportions but the ground floor featured a box room that served little purpose except to shrink the neighbouring kitchen.
After surveying the ground floor, I generated a primary concept that would remove a single wall, creating a new open plan kitchen, with a feature island, alongside a downstair’s W/C and utility cupboard.
The concept was accompanied by a series of visualisations to show the light and airy space with a high end finish.
